Search the Directory Help

This search allows you to search by product or service name. Example: If you do a search for "pens" the directory will display a list of all product & service types that contain "pens." You may specify from this list the exact product or service type that meets your needs, and a list of companies that provide these specific products will be displayed.

If you know the name of a company that supplies your desired product or service, you may enter all or part of the company name. The directory will display a list of companies that meet your search criteria.

Advanced Search Help

Advanced Search gives you the ability not only to search by product/service or company name. You can also search by the Harmonized Code (HS) system. The HS code system is an internationally accepted method of product and service cataloging. If you know the HS Code of the product or service you are seeking, you may use this search method to find companies that meet your purchasing needs. You can also search through the WAND catalog of terms. This method allows you to search by general product and service categories available in the system. Once you have selected the desired product or service category, you will have the option to display companies indexed to products or services that match your selection, or you may narrow the list down further by choosing more specific categories.

Product & Service Search

Company Name Search

If you know the name of a company that supplies your desired product or service, you may enter all or part of the company name. The directory will display a list of companies that meet your search criteria.

Browse by Product and Service Category

This method allows you to browse by general broad product and service categories. Once you have selected the desired product or service category, you will have the option to display companies indexed to products or services that match your selection, or you may narrow the list down further by clicking the (+) next to the categories displayed for more specific categories.

6-Digit HS Code Search

The Harmonized Code (HS) system is an internationally accepted method of product and service cataloging. If you know the HS Code of the product or service you are seeking, you may use this search method to find companies that meet your purchasing needs.

Find HS Code

The directory will guide you through a series of steps to find the Harmonized Code (HS) you are looking for. When you have selected a six-digit HS Code, a list of companies that provide the desired product or service will be displayed.

Registration Help

Registering as a Buyer and/or a Seller

If your company is a seller of goods and/or services, you should click the "Listing Maintenance " link. If your company is a buyer of goods and/or services, you should click the "Buyer Control Panel" link. The directory also allows you to register as both a Buyer and a Seller. when you finish registering as a Buyer, you have the option to register as a Seller and vice-versa

Logging into Your Buyer and/or Seller Profiles

If you have already registered your company with the directory, these links will allow you to change the details of these profiles, edit your existing product and service types or change your password. You will need the administrative email address and password used at the time of registration.

Buyer Control Panel Help

Updating Your Contact Information

This link allows you to easily update the contact information in your buyer profiles directly from your Buyer Control Panel. Make all desired changes on the provided buyer maintenance screen, and click the "Update Record" button. All changes will take effect immediately.

Updating Your Selected Product Types

This link allows you to easily update your selected product/service types directly from your Buyer Control Panel. Add or delete all desired product/service types, and click the "Return to Buyer Control Panel" link. All changes will take effect immediately.

New Companies & Products

This section displays a list of up to ten of the most recently indexed companies and their respective product types that meet your specified requirements. To add a company or product to your Preferred list, click the active link, then choose "Save as Preferred." To add custom contact information or additional comments/notes, click "Save as Preferred and Edit." These companies and products/services will appear in the "Saved Companies & Products" section when they have been saved as Preferred.

Finding Companies & Products by Type

This search option allows you to perform a specific search of newly indexed companies by selecting a particular product type. When the search is complete, you will be able to select and add Preferred companies and products/services to your "Saved Companies & Products" section. Do so by clicking the active link and saving as Preferred.

Finding Companies & Products by Date

This search option allows you to perform a specific search of newly indexed companies by selecting a particular time frame in which new companies and/or products were added. When the search is complete, you will be able to select and add Preferred companies and products/services to your "Saved Companies & Products" section. Do so by clicking the active link and saving as Preferred.

Saved Companies & Products

This section displays all companies and products/services that have been selected by you as "Preferred" listings. To edit Preferred listings, click the active link, make all desired changes on the provided Buyer Preferred Catalog Maintenance screen and click the "Update" button. Take note that you are also able to delete Preferred listings from this screen.

Seller Listing Maintenance Help

Required Registration Fields

In order to register your company in the directory, certain contact information must be displayed so your company profile works as an effective marketing tool. These required fields are denoted by red asterisks and must be filled in completely and accurately to ensure successful registration.

Note: The more completely you fill out your profiles, the more helpful they will be to potential customers and/or vendors.

Administrative Email Address & Password

The administrative email address will serve as your login each time you wish to update your company profile. You will need this email address as well as your password for profile maintenance. It is recommended that you write these items down and keep them in a safe place.

Tips for Assigning Product and Service Types

The following tips may help you find the product and service types that most accurately describe what your company provides.

Narrow your search to include only the "root" or shortened form of the primary keyword that best describes what products or services your company provides.
Example: "pharma" instead of "pharmaceutical preparation materials."
Use a synonym or similar version of the primary keyword to give you a new list of related products or services.
Example: "automobiles" instead of "cars" or "vehicles."
Use the drill down menu, which allows you to start your search under a broader category and then refine your search as each new list of more narrow terms is displayed.
Example: "Office Products" is a broad term that brings up many options including "Shipping Supplies." From there you can select another more specific type like "Strapping Tape."

Using the Keyword Search

This search allows you to assign product or services to your profile by searching for a keyword that describes what your company provides.

Example: If you do a keyword search for "pens" the directory will display a list of all product and service types that contain the letter sequence "pens." You may specify from this list the exact product or service type that you wish to assign to your profile.

Using the Drill-Down Search

This search allows you to assign product or services to your profile by first selecting a broad category, then "drilling-down" through a hierarchical menu that contains more specific terms that will accurately describe what your company provides.

Example: "Office Products" is a broad term that bring up many options including "Shipping Supplies." From there you can select another more specific type like "Strapping Tape."

Choosing from Types that Your Company Buys or Sells

If a company buys any of the same products and/or services that it sells, the company may search the existing products and services assigned to a buyer profile and quickly assign them to the seller profile or vice versa.
